Greetings from Grassland

Greetings from The VOLUNTEER STATE where we are also known as Music City ~ Tennessee. Our school is in Franklin, Tennessee, a suburb south of Nashville, also known as the Best Little Small Town in Tennessee! Nashville is our state capital and Tennessee is rich with history from the civil war. You will find the Great Smokey Mountains in the east, the mighty Mississippi forms our border to the west, and Tennessee is the home of 3 presidents; Jackson, Johnson, and Polk.

We are Mrs. Green’s Fifth Grade class of 28 students. Grassland Elementary School enrolls 720 students Kindergarten through Fifth grade. We have five 5th grade classes in our building.

We enjoy math, reading, writing, and technology. After school hours we are involved in art, running, and reading club, but we love our sports! We can be found on the soccer, baseball, and football field. Some of us will be found at tennis lessons, or basketball practice. Others will be at Hebrew school, or piano lessons.

We are very excited about the Landmark Game and look forward to interacting with other schools around the globe. Best of luck 2010 Landmark Game Participants!
